. SHIPPEN MANOR LAWN CONCERTS YET ANOTHER NICE SUMMER SUNDAY CONCERT SERIES IN SWEET & SUNNY DOWNTOWN OXFORD JUG TOWN MOUNTAIN STRING BAND AT SHIPPEN MANOR
The Warren County Cultural & Heritage Commission is happy to announce a free concert by the Jug Town Mountain String Band on the Shippen Manor lawn. Bring blankets or lawn chairs, a picnic, a couple of friends and your best relaxing mood. The Jugtown Mountain String Band is rooted in the tradition of American acoustic music. This four-piece band performs a variety of styles including Old Time Mountain Music, Bluegrass, Blues, and Folk Ballads. Featured are Greg Myers, Paul Prestopino, Monica Franke, and Carol Behrens. Come hear their strong vocals and instrumentals performed on a multitude of instruments including fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar, upright bass, autoharp, dulcimer, and dobro. Shippen Manor is located just off Route 31 in Oxford. This free event is sponsored by the Warren County Cultural & Heritage Commission, supported by the Warren County Freeholders, and is funded in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
