Ed Palmer Solo Show
at Warren County Administration Building’s Hall Gallery
The Warren County Cultural and Heritage Commission is happy to present a one person show of oil paintings by Ed Palmer. A life long resident of Hackettstown he started painting under the tutelage of Alex Alder and Gene Feller. He sometimes works from photos taken by Kate Oakley and then imbues the paintings with his own vision.
Influenced by Claude Monet, Edward Redfield, Alfred Sisley, and Vincent Van Gogh, he has put his own imprint on his works: Ed Palmer’s snowscapes are truly ‘chilly’ and his floral scenes uniquely capture the sunlight. Ed is a member of The Philadelphia Museum of Art and visits Manhattan’s Guggenheim, Metropolitan, MOMA, and Whitney Museums.
Ed Palmer is a local Judge and Attorney and a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the Marine Corps, enlisting in 1962. Married to Linda Palmer, they have three adult children, Jack Sara, and Tim, as well as five ‘Super Grandchildren’.
Ed Palmer’s one person show is presented by the Warren County Cultural Commission, supported by the Warren County Freeholders, and is funded in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts. The accessible Administration Building Hall Gallery is located on Route 519 West and is open during normal business hours.

WCCHC ARTS GRANT FY 2015 APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS AND GLOSSARY GUIDELINES January 1, 2015 - December 31, 2015 (12 Month Grant)

The 19th Annual Skylands Scenic Beauty Photography Contest
Open to students, amateurs and professionals. Submitted photos must have been taken after October 1, 2013. The subject matter should be of the Skylands region: Hunterdon, Morris, Somerset, Sussex, or Warren County in New Jersey. Each contestant may enter one photo using either 35mm or digital. This professionally judged competition includes invoiced cash prizes totaling over $1800.
Deliver photos to the Wayne Dumont Jr. Administration Building, Route 519, Belvidere, NJ on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, 10 AM – 12 Noon. The show will open with an artists reception on Saturday, October 18 and be displayed through Thursday, January 15, 2015. Photo pick-up is Friday, January 16, 2015.
