BOVINE SOCIAL CLUB CONCERT AT SHIPPEN MANOR

The Bovine Social Club will perform on stage in concert at 6 pm at Shippen Manor on Sunday, June 26.  Bred on the northern banks of the Delaware River, Bovine Social Club, is a grassy, twangy, swinging breed of Americana Alt-Country sounds sure to get your dancing cow on. Featured musicians are:  Samuel Saint Thomas, Lyrics, Vocals, Guitars, and Harmonica; Jeffrey Barg, Drums; Johnny Smith, Guitars, Banjo, Vocals; Ronald Baumann, Upright Bass, Vocals; and Cue Fisher, Mandolin, Fiddle

Their sound is fertilized by country, bluegrass, folk, rock, old time, Celtic, Juju, and gospel vocabularies. Infused with nearly 100 years of combined musical skill and wisdom, they mine their experiences of traveling city streets and gravel roads to churches and pubs and concert halls. Bovine Social Club gives thinking people happy feet!

Come to the Shippen Manor lawn on Sunday, June 26 at 6 PM in Oxford, just west of the Route 31 traffic light. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, alcohol free coolers, picnic baskets, and your significant others for a free concert of traditional and contemporary bluegrass featuring Mountain Heritage.

This free concert is sponsored by the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Commission, supported by the Warren County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and funded in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts. New Jersey State arts funding is derived from a dedicated state hotel/motel occupancy fee, and does not impact property or income taxes. The lawn at Shippen Manor is reasonably accessible and accessible lavatories are available. Individuals preferring speech or hearing assistance may call the relay service at 711.
