Warren County Students Participate in 2012 Teen Arts Festival

The Warren County Cultural and Heritage Commission is pleased to congratulate all students who took part in the Warren County Teen Arts Festival presented by the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Commission and hosted by Warren County Community College. Approximately 260 students participated in the two day Arts Festival held at Warren County Community College on March 15 and 16.

Professional artists presented workshops in: Manga, a cartooning style developed in Japan; dance styles including Hip-Hop, Improvisation, Modern and, Broadway Show dancing; digital filmmaking processes; sculptural heads; theatrical audition preparation; creative writing techniques; Lithography and Silk Screen print making; Impressionistic style landscape painting; blues guitar; bookbinding; songwriting; conducting; computer 3D Modeling with Blender; Multimedia with Adobe Flash, and Stage Combat.

Critique sessions were conducted to provide participants with one-on-one supportive feedback in the various arts including; theater, vocal and instrumental music, creative writing, poetry and prose, painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and film.

Schools which participated in Teen Arts Festival included; Belvidere High School, Harmony Township School, North Warren Regional High School, and Warren County Technical School and Warren Hills Regional High School.

The Warren County Cultural and Heritage Commission partnering with Warren County Community College produced this year’s 2012 Warren County Teen Arts Festival which took place at Warren County Community College. Support from the Warren County Freeholders make this art experience a reality for the students of Warren County. Warren County Teen Arts is funded in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
