 TENTH ANNUAL FREE FIREBACK FIDDLE & BANJO COMPETITION & CONCERTS SEPTEMBER 19 at SHIPPEN MANOR

 OVER THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS IN PRIZE MONEY!

 The Warren County Cultural & Heritage Commission is pleased to present its Tenth Annual Free Fireback Fiddle & Banjo Contest on the Shippen Manor Lawn, in Oxford , Saturday, September 19, starting at noon , rain or shine, with a performance by Bluegrass favorites, Cold Springs.

 Prize money will be $300, $200, and $100 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners respectively in each of the following categories: Old-Time fiddle, Bluegrass fiddle, Celtic fiddle, Finger style banjo, and Claw hammer banjo. Fiddlers High School age and younger may have the option to compete in a separate Junior category that offers $100 for 1st prize, $75 for 2nd prize, and $50 for 3rd prize. The acoustic duo, Kate and Paul, will be performing later in the afternoon during the judging.

 The grounds at Shippen Manor are reasonably accessible and accessible facilities are provided. This event is presented by the Warren County Cultural & Heritage Commission, with support from the Warren County Freeholders, and funded in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/ Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
