15th ANNUAL SKYLANDS SCENIC BEAUTY PHOTO CONTEST: OVER $1800 IN PRIZES

 Our 15th Annual Skylands Scenic Beauty Photography Contest is sponsored by the Warren County Cultural & Heritage Commission. This competition is open to all students, amateurs and professionals. Submitted photos must have been taken after January 1, 2010 and the subject matter should be the Skylands region: Hunterdon, Morris, Somerset, Sussex, or Warren County in New Jersey. Cameras used may be digital or traditional. This professionally judged competition will award invoiced cash prizes totaling over $1800.

 The Student category will include Color or Black & White photography with prizes of $100 for 1st place, $80 for 2nd place, $70 for 3rd place, and $50 for Honorable Mention. The Amateur category will include Color or Black & White, with awards of $150 for 1st Place, $100 for 2nd Place, $75 for 3rd Place, and $50 for Honorable Mention.

The Professional category is also Black & White or Color, with awards of $300 for 1st place, $200

for second place, $150 for third place, and $100 for Honorable Mention. There will be an additional $400 award for Best of Show.

The minimum size for all submissions is 8"x10”. All submitted photographs must be ready to hang. No glass or easel frames accepted. Only one prize permitted for each contestant.

 All contestants may enter one photo using 35mm or digital. All entries should be delivered to the accessible Wayne Dumont Jr. Administration Building, Rt. 519, Belvidere, NJ on Tuesday, October 19 from 10 AM until 12 NOON. The show will be open for viewing at the Wayne Dumont Jr. Administration Building, Rt. 519, Belvidere, NJ on Saturday, October 23, 10 AM to 12 NOON and will include a reception for the artists. The photographs will be exhibited through doc January 14, 2011.
